Is it possible that an event triggered what you called social anxiety?

because i believed that all the thoughts that i have before finally feeling anxious/uncomfortable with other people was because of the things that happened to me before day by day...and in the end became totally anxious.

  1. Yes, it is possible. Anxiety is a natural reaction to danger but it can be "learned" and then you can react to things that your mind only perceives to be a danger when it really isn't. There are medications that help but you also need counseling to "unlearn" the reaction. Does that make any sense?
