  1. yes, scientists hope to create a few black holes with their machine that they call lhc. if they succeed, it might suck their machine or maybe even the whole earth, into oblivion.

you know, those crazy scientists... what can you do. first they make atomic bombs, now they make atomic black holes. they just want bigger and bigger bombs all the time.

  2. Yes, this is what happens in CERN. At CERN in particle Accelerators black holes are created. But they are small and short lived they evaporate away quickly.

  3. Yes, there's one in my laundry where all my socks disappear.

Seriously, I don't know if it's possible and I saw your question and came here to read the answers but there weren't any yet.  I'll check back later to see what is being said.

  4. That's what they are hoping for at the Large Hadron Collider CERN Swtizerland.  One of the experiments, once it gets up and running any day now, is to try to create miniblack holes. [See source.]

Not to worry, miniblacks are harmless...at least theoretically, they've not yet been observed.

Black holes are not well understood.  But the consensus is that they can come in just about any size.  The minis at one end up to and including the one our universe might be residing in (that's one theory).  And consensus is that most if not all galaxies, including our own Milky Way, have black holes at their centers.

Until Hawkings, we thought black holes would remain indefinitely.  That's because it was once thought that when something was sucked into them, nothing came out.  Hawkings theorized and it was later validated that quantum bits and pieces would in fact be ejected, which means black holes can eventually peter out.  The miniblacks should validate that theory even further.

  5. i don't think so. black holes, although still a lot has to be answered about them, have a central point in which the compression is so great it'd kill you, like when you go deep sea. so if this was to happen on earth, it would mess up gravity or somthing.

besides this our gravity on earth is so stable black holes cannot happen, its only in space where things are not constant that black holes happen. so in short no.

  6. what du u mean by happen on earth

i guess u mean that may swallow earth

    then the answer is yes
