Is it possible that earthbound ghost can't "fly"?

Question

Otherwise...why would they be "stuck" in one place on earth? It seems like might be able to "levitate" ...but not go any higher than a few feet. Have you ever heard of any ghosts being seen up higher than a few feet?(Yes..I realize ghosts don't have "wings"..but it seems like being "spiritual beings" they would be able to travel as high as they want to.)

I think you're on to something here Denie.  Could it be ghosts are only where people are for a reason?

You can conjecture that some ghosts are "stuck to the earth" or that some are not, but there is no actual knowledge to be had here on this topic. Before such concrete questions can rationally be asked, the subject of the questions has to be known with at least that same level concreteness. But we're talking about ghosts here for which there is no concrete knowledge at all. Everybody has their own ideas and there's basically no scientific evidence from which to infer what ghosts are all about.  So if you're asking any question about qhosts which starts with "Is it possible that ghosts....", the answer is always yes, if ghosts actually exist that is.

I always found this kind of question about ghosts amusing in its absurdity, though. What happens if someone dies on an airliner and turns into a ghost and haunts the skies? Will you see this ghost rocketing through the sky at 500 mph?  :)

I think Mycroft is trying to explain to you the difference between a residual haunting and an intelligent haunting. The residual is imprint and the intelligent is a disembodied human.

Ghosts or Spirits don't fly. They just move from a place to another one, like your thoughts do. They move in all ways. An orb is a ghost or spirit and you can only see them on picture never naked eyes. You can physically hear noise though. A spirit/ghost can't have wings because they're entities, not human. We must appreciate on another level, not in human ways of thining.

Ghosts are not spirits. Ghosts simply replay human activity, they don't think for themselves.

Spirits are sometimes unfortunately "earth bound" these are the sentient beings. They can maneuver and take different forms.
