I seem to crave* for different foods seemingly in accordance to foods my body needs for good health.

*By "crave", I mean to say that I feel this instinctive impulse directing my thinking brain to select appropriate foods, as if the foods are a medicine.

Are foods medicinal, and do we have within us a "subconscious" doctor, instructing us what to eat, or put in our mouths? I believe that any 'cravings ' for junk food stems from the programmed need for high calorie and salty food. Man in his hunter gatherer state would never turn down a big mac and shake! Nor should he! What say you?

  1. Yes. There's also many studies showing animals can pick what food they need to eat. It's instinctive.
