They say you should normally bleed 4 to 6 weeks after you have a baby. I bled for 2 weeks, & its been 9 weeks weeks since i have had my daughter & i still haven't started my period. i had unprotected s*x 7 weeks after i had her. Is it possible that i could be pregnant again? & how early can i find out? I have had butterflies & have felt nauseated everyday for the past week. Can someone help me with this..

  1. If you are breastfeeding, you may not have a period for 6 months.  That being said, I went to school with siblings that were 10 months apart!  And yes, they had the same parents!  So it is possible!!

  2. It sounds like you could be, I've heard of people getting pregnant after giving birth sooner than that

  3. I have read about women who found out they were pregnant again at their first postpartum visit, so it is possible. Since you recently delivered, you may want to ask for a blood test from your doctor to find out if you are worried.

I have been told breastfeeding postponed your period, but I still had my periods while I breastfed so that is not the case for everyone. So, just give your doc a call. I do not think that an at home test will be a great option, but you can give it a try in 2 weeks or so.

  4. not here to bash you, but girl you just had a baby...2 in diapers is too too hard...I only bleed 2 weeks after giving birth, but my baby is almost 6 years old now. if you aren't pregnant, then you need to take this as a lesson...but maybe and maybe not...

  5. Yes it's possible. I would call the dr & make an appt & let them know you may be pregnant again.

  6. Yes you can be pregnant again. You need to take a test and contact your doctor Soon so you can get extra vitamins and stuff since you just had your other. My best friend has two boys 10 months apart and it is not as bad as it sounds. I have a set of twins that are three and a one year old and also a 6 year old and the way I see it they will never be alone and will always have a friend to play with and grow with. Don't get me wrong it will be twice the work but it does lighten up as they get a little older.Good luck hope everything turns out well

  7. it is more than possible. you are your most fertile right after having a baby. i would go get a blood test. a home test may be positive even if you are not pregnant because of leftover hormones from your new baby.

  8. It's possible but unlikely. Nausea two weeks after conception? Extremely unusual - it's probably due to stress.

Pregnancy couldn't make you stop bleeding, either - it's the wrong way round. You only become fertile again after you stop bleeding.

  9. If you have had unprotected s*x then yes you could be pregnant...I read somewhere that it is easier to get pregnant after you have already had a child. If you have not had your period yet that does not mean that you have not ovulated...you might have ovulated during week 7 and then were supposed to get your period at week 9...but if you ended up conceiving you wont get your period at all. I would take a test

  10. It is possible... some at-home pregnancy tests have early results, but I would suggest seeing your OBGYN first.
