Not really. Before the last century, Humanity was not advanced enough to cause the downfall of itself.  Small pockets of death yes, but worldwide catastrophe?  No.

not yet. it could possibly in the future with all the new weapons being constructed

i would not believe in this I believe that the world has been around not for millions of years but yet thousands and if the word will come to an end and the human race does exterminate itself whoever has found god shouldn't worry.
