    No, absolutely none of Friday's solar eclipse is visible in Idaho.

    But patience!

    Much of Idaho lies in the path of the total eclipse of the sun August 21, 2017.  Downtown Boise will miss it, unfortunately for you, but if you go up to Emmett or New Plymouth that morning, you'll advance right into the path of totality.  The total eclipse arrives at 11:26 a.m. Mountain Daylight Time.

  3. No.  Fraid not.  This just isn't our turn in the US.  The people in China and Russia, and those three guys in the weather station in northern Greenland get to see it.
