Is it possible that t-rex could also be a planteater like bears are?

  1. Take a look at a bear skull. Their molars are bunodont, like those of swine and humans, signalling that they are omnivores. T. rex had carnassial or sectorial teeth, like cats, designed for cutting meat. Compare a T. rex skull with that of an herbivorous dinosaur, like Apatosaurus or Stegosaurus to appreciate the difference.


  2. No. It's teeth couldn't cope with plant matter. They have the teeth of a pure carnivore.

  3. A 12.8 meters (42 feet) long theropod dinosaur wouldn't eat plants the trannosaurus was both a predator and a scavenger.

  4. Yes, as strange as it seems, there is a possibility that t-rexes could've eaten plants. Scientists are looking more into that as we speak (type). They are thought to be carnivorous because of there large teeth.
