  1. Well, there is Wrigley Field which can be chewed like a gum. But the Higgs field is more like gravity, which you can't see, but, nonetheless, commands attention. Gravity is sort of sticky, that is, it holds things together.  Chocolate can be sticky when it is warm. We're at apehelion today, which is to say, we're as far from the Sun as we'll get for another year.  So, the total heat from the Sun is slightly less than other times of the year.  And, the force of gravity from the Sun is slightly less out here too.  But that's exactly what you'd expect if the Higg's field were made of Chocolate.  It would be slightly less sticky.  So, it seems reasonable that the LHC will find the Higgs, and it will be Chocolate, from the evidence so far.

That begs the question of how things would be if we orbited a star that was cold?  Well, even white dwarf stars, which no longer fuse hydrogen, are hot.  The Universe isn't old enough for them to cool.  So, we'll have to wait to find out. But that's the scientific method. You just can't hurry it up every time. Good results are worth the wait.

  2. Maybe really intense dark chocolate. Definitely not wimpy milk chocolate though.

  3. Probably more like Rocky Road (or maybe mint chocolate chip).
