Quality seems to be an expression of what an individual senses and therefore knows. Is it possible that there exists high-quality knowledge and low-quality knowledge, that is to say, knowledge itself has a quality too?

  1. Of course knowledge has quality, just why we need guidance in life.

    Consider some aspects of character;

    1-courage 2- intuition 3- knowledge 4- understanding 5- counsel 6- worship 7- wisdom.

There is no wisdom without worship so the quality of knowledge is relative to understanding the knowledge presented.

  2. Knowledge is the expression of experience .

And experience depends on practise and wisdom.

Therefore, if you are less wise (like children) and lazy then your experience will be poor ,so will your knowledge.

So be alert and hard working !

  3. It's hard for me to discern the context of the question, but in general, I would rate knowledge along a scale of verifiability.

For example, the Theory of Gravity, or the Germ theory of disease are confirmable in so many different ways, that we should take their claims as serious.  Other such ideas that have less evidence for support should be believed to a lesser degree.

  4. I don't think so...knowledge is quality...no matter what the knowledge...it's all good.  Course some would say knowledge that came at the cost of hundreds of thousands of dollars and years of university would be high quality knowledge as apposed to knowledge aquired another way.

  5. the more accurate knowledge you have, the better quality.

Low quality knowledge would be a lot of innacurate knowledge or less knowledge than someone else....

If someone from a great school were to compete against some bum off the street, the bum may have street smarts but comparitivley in this circumstance, the person going to the educated school genrally would have the higher quality of knowledge.

  6. In my opinion, knowledge cannot be objectively qualified.  Qualifying things is subjective to individual perceptions and hence relative.  While knowledge itself cannot thus be considered high-quality and low-quality, individual's percetion can be.

  7. Low-quality knowledge: You have a bug in your computer and that's why it's not working.

High-quality knowledge: You had a bug in your computer. I know this because I opened it up and looked. I cleaned out all the dust and pulled the dead bugs out. I rebooted and cleaned out your hard drive. It should work fine. I'll send you my bill for $100 for my time and work.

  8. Can you please give an example of high and low quality knowledge?

I can say that there is knowledge, confidential knowledge and most confidential knowledge. Could this be from lower and high quality? Also there is knowledge and practical realized application of that knowledge.

Lord Krishna describe, (in Bhagavad gita), knowledge in this concept:

    räja-vidyä räja-guhyaà

    pavitram idam uttamam

    pratyakñävagamaà dharmyaà

    su-sukhaà kartum avyayam

    SYNONYMS

    räja-vidyä—the king of education; räja-guhyam—the king of confidential knowledge; pavitram—the purest; idam—this; uttamam—transcendental; pratyakña—by direct experience; avagamam—understood; dharmyam—the principle of religion; su-sukham—very happy; kartum—to execute; avyayam—everlasting.

    TRANSLATION

"This knowledge is the king of education, the most secret of all secrets. It is the purest knowledge, and because it gives direct perception of the self by realization, it is the perfection of religion. It is everlasting, and it is joyfully performed."

He explains that the essence of all doctrines and philosophies is knowledge of Him, the living entity(the individual soul) and the eternal loving relationship  between both.

Confidential or transcendental knowledge involves understanding the difference between the soul and the body.

Generally, people are not educated in this confidential knowledge; they are educated in external knowledge(knowledge of the material energy). As far as ordinary education is concerned, people are involved with so many departments: politics, sociology, physics, chemistry, mathematics, astronomy, engineering, science, etc. There are so many departments of knowledge all over the world and many huge universities, but there is, unfortunately, no university or educational institution where the science of the spirit soul is instructed. Yet the soul is the most important part of the body; without the presence of the soul, the body has no value.

Still people are placing great stress on the bodily necessities of life, not caring for the vital soul.

How can the soul, which is so active within this body, be inactive after being liberated from the body(after death)? It is always active. If it is eternal, then it is eternally active, and its activities in the spiritual kingdom are the most confidential part of spiritual knowledge. These activities of the spirit soul are therefore indicated here as constituting the king of all knowledge, the most confidential part of all knowledge.

I think this is the highest quality of knowledge. External knowledge end along  with the body's death.
