Is it possible to BBQ on the sand at huntington beach?

I want to buy one of those cheap mini portable bbq's but am curious if i am allowed to bring it onto the sand for a beach bbq?

there are fire pits on the south side of the pier in HB... you can bbq there.. there is also bolsa chica state beach which you can bbq at too.. i think you can pretty much do it anywhere on the south side of the pier but not the north .. good luck !!
