Is it possible to access discontinued message boards?

I am trying to access a message board for a company that was acquired by another company, for dates prior to the acquisition.

Not unless the original message board was kept. New message board would have to give a link to the old one for viewing only

right when they went down you could access the boards but not post on them, i had a link to a message thread i saved, it doesnt work now

i believe when they pulled the plug all the boards went away
