today, and I realized that I wasn't clearing the bar every time that I came down (I was doing calf raises). I took off my shoes and looked to see if my soles had worn down. No. I tried again. Same thing. Out of curiosity I went to go measure myself and I was 5 feet 8 1/2 inches. I was always 5 feet 9 inches!!! I thought people got shorter in their 70's. What happened?? P.S. I have noticed lately that my knees hurt.

  1. As we age our bones tend to lose calcium.  This affects our vertebrae (back) and causes the spine to deteriorate thus making the bones shorter and smaller.  That is why we feel like we are shrinking as we get older.  I dont think it starts at a certain age but if you dont get enough calcium in your diet that might affect it.

  2. you may or may not know but people's bone are alwasy changing it's shape due to the amount of calcium in their blood, or maybe you lost some cartlage in you knee?? idk
