I own a 2006 cobaltss and im tying to add some muscle into it so my question is if it is possible to add a turbo to my car since it already has a supercharger?

Who out there has thought of this?

  1. Adding a turbo to an already supercharged car is possible but way too expensive i wouldnt suggest it if you dont want to blow your engine early. if you want about 30+ more hp than the kits from GM would probably be your best bet. You can get a chip, injectors and pulleys, while keeping your stock supercharger and get about 40 more whp. your next step would be an intake (but watch out as most actually LOSE power), headers, a sport cat (if you live outside of california) and a catback exhaust. If your set on twin-charging (thats what its called) than look here ( http://www.cobaltss.net/forums/showthrea... ) didnt read the thread but its about someone who did go ahead and twin-charge their cobalt ss. But be prepared to have to upgrade your clutch, brakes, wheels/tires, and suspension if your going to add much more than 50whp or your car wont be able to keep up with the engine. check other threads on cobaltss.net and im sure youll find all the info you need. hope this helps.

  2. better off changing the pulleys, a set or 2 smaller, to get more boost
