Our house has a hard wired network. There is a wireless g router in the basement the is connecting the den and bedrooms to the the internet through Ethernet cables from it's out ports. I don't receive wireless in my room but have a hard wired connection. Can I connect a cheap wireless router to the Ethernet port and extend the wireless network? I think this is essentially making a wireless access point.

Thanks!

  1. The answer is YES! You can do just the same that you did with the G in the basement. If you want to go PRO you can configure it with DHCP OFF and you will get the IPs from the main ROUTER. Check the manual that will come with it.
