Failed 2nd time - half-way round the "reverse-round-a-corner" manouver, I ask to pull forward and try again. The examiner says I mustn't. I bring up the fact that my previous examiner, at the same test center, told me I could pull forward and try again.
"Obviously misinformed" - replies the a*****e, refering to his collegue's error, whilst possibly implying that I lied. Consequently, I got a major for a "less than adequate", BUT not dangerous (nobody around) action, and I ultimately finished the manouver perfectly. No minors were awarded, just one major.
My other major, which is even more annoying, was, believe it or not, conceived at the very first junction. Less than 8m from the starting point, I stop at a junction in first gear, wait, and once all is clear, I look and move off to the left. There was nobody behind my vehicle, hence nobody in jeopardy, yet I got a major on observation - not a minor. Interestingly, not one other junction did I get any minors for observation at.
