I am applying to several schools now to start in Spring of 2009. How can I fill out a FAFSA form if I don't know which school I will be accepted to? Does it allow you to select several potential schools?

  1. may apply the question is aid

  2. you can pick as many schools as you want.  filling out the form just gets the ball rolling and lets whichever schools you submit it to know you will be asking for aid.  the schools won't do anything with that money until you go to their financial aid offices and tell them you are there for the afsa money.  then they look you up in the system and cut you a check.  If you end up choosing a school not on your list you can call the FAFSA folks to add that school or go to the website and edit the fafsa that was submitted to include the school.  good luck

  3. The fafsa allows you to pick a colleges of your chose.  Go to www.fafsa.edu.gov and see what the questions are.  You can always make any corrections later.  You will have to establish a pen and password.  You have nothing to lose everyone does it and when you ready you will be ahead of the game.  There are 3 sections one, two , and three with all information and direction. If I'm not mistaken I think it allows you several enters.

  4. That Fafsa has room for about 10 colleges on the application based on the order you hope or think you may be accepted. After you get your award all you have to do is go to the financial aid office of that school that you are planning to attend and ask them to switch it over if that isn't the school the aid went to (Aid goes to the first college you put down).

  5. If I want to apply to more than one school, should I submit more than one FAFSA?

No, you can list up to ten schools on your FAFSA.

If I want to apply to more than ten schools, what do I do?

You can only select up to ten schools at a time to receive your application information. Once you receive the processed Student Aid Report (SAR), you can:

  6. you apply for financial aid at the school you;ll be attending, upon applying they'll give you more info. if still acquire assistance in where or what you want to do.
