Question:

Is it possible to barrack for both Carlton and Collingwood?

I have barracked for Carlton all my life and have been a little let down that they lose all the time, and i really enjoy watching Collingwood play. I have started favouring Collingwood over all the teams, except for Carlton, and am beginning to think that I like Carlton and Collingwood equally. Is it possible to barrack for both teams, even though those two teams are the AFL's biggest rivals?

  1. yes, i follow the mighty blues, but grew up a kid in a house of collingwood fans, on days when Carlton were not playing i used to go out to Victoria Park with my family and watch the pies play

  2. The test would be for you when Carlton play Collingwood, you will then see where your loyalty lies.

  3. ARE YOU INSANE??????lol

It's either your g*y or your not!!!!

  4. no collingwood r for homos

carlton are the 2nd coolest team there ever was(dockers are the best) . my grandpa played for carlton and thats why i like them. my great uncle was captain of the demons, his name is shane mcgrath

  5. Carlton have its stars such as Heath Scotland, Andrew Carazzo & Kade Simpson.

    But then...

Collingwood have stars like Dale Thomas, Alan Didak, Tarkyn Lockyer, Heath Shaw, Dane Swan & Travis Cloke.

I believe that you can barrak for both Carlton & Collingwood (I'm with Collingwood 100% by the way) but when the time comes every year for Collingwood v Carlton then you will find out which team you favor. Its like anyone who barraks for two teams, whenever the two teams compete you always favor one over the other.

  6. No you can't.

Sounds a bit like a two sided flag, or

thinking you are in love with both people.

To get over your fixation, maybe it would be a good idea to give both of these clubs the flick, and choose another club.

  7. if i was you i would stay on the blues bandwagon after all these years of loosing the reward are about to show so dont go jumping ship just yet

they will have a great decade of football winning and challengin for premierships so i think stay with carlton.

but whos to say you can go for collingwood everytime they play besides against the blues.

but im a freo fan and i know i would rather watch paint dry than watch the eagles win lol i hate them with a passion and did get over there premiership win for about a month lol

  8. Of course it is, but its totally up to you!     You can do as you please, and if your going to purchase a membership for both they will accept your money.       Which team  you ultimately prefer will be your opinion, and you are entitled to that!     I have worked at  4 clubs ,and honestly there was no difference between any of them except the "colours" they wear.     People from the CEO to bootstudder, doing the same jobs at each club just different faces.

  9. I'm a Bombers fan and even I think you need deep analysis!No-one could absolutely admit such a concept... therefore I think there may be time to retract your question... but I sincerely believe the only way out is to blame Robert Wall's commentary... and work yourself back to functionality from there! Do I feel sorry for your instability, not at all...

  10. yes its possible but i would stick with one.

  11. Not possible....carlton r pretty bad

  12. when they are playing different teams, why not. When they play against each other, you have to make a choice, sorry

  13. Of course it is!!  You can do what you please and dont let anyone tell you otherwise.

Seriously, I dont blame you - Collingwood have provided some of the most entertaining matches ever and considering how bad Carlton have been in the past decade - its only natural for you to want to barrack for a successful club which the Blues occupy the bottom of the ladder, year after year.

  14. I'm really really really sorry , BUT i really really really hate carlton....( it's deep set within my psyche , please don't take it personally)

I'm a Dees supporter but I have a massive soft spot for Collingwood ( and they are also traditional rivals )  so I can understand where you're coming from .

the thing is with the Pies .. they have such a wonderful tradition and history and you have to admit .. .the AFL would be so not the same without them...

Now your fellow carltonites MIGHT think you're strange .. But follow your heart :)
