i got drunk last night, but not drunk enough to vomit or get sick. i slept for about 4 or 5 hours, and since then i've been feeling woozy all of today, and i find it hard to focus on things. i hear things but i'm not actually listening. i read things but i don't know what i'm reading. i can't really focus on anything. is this normal? i have gotten way more drunk before, and the day after that i felt awful in the morning, but by night, i felt fine again.

  1. oh yeah, for sure.  I've have had drinks and certainly was drunk upon waking......and was that way all day.

  2. more probably a fact that youre dehydrated and a bit seedy. the liver breaks down around 1 standard drink per hour. a beer is about 1.4 standard drinks so if you had 8 beers, you'd prolly be drunk for around 10 hours.

  3. It happens to me... Drink orange juice you will feel better tomorrow

  4. I think the word is "hangover".

Try drinking less or eating better, or both, next time!

For now, water, juices & some bread and/or crackers may help.  Then a good nights sleep will do wonders.

  5. It is possible to be drunk an entire day after a night filled with alcohol depending on the amt of alcohol consumed.  Typically it takes 2 hrs per average alcoholic drink, 3 hours for a shot.  So if we do that math correctly it only takes about 12 drinks for an average women to get drunk for a 24 hour period.  In your case it appears to me you are definitely still drunk and are showing symptoms of dehydration.  I would stay away from salty and greasy food they make you more dehydrated... and lots of soup, water and liquids in general.  Also get a lot of rest.

  6. You are dehydrated.  Drink a lot of water and you will feel better.
