  1. Yes as long as you don't vote for anyone who supports abortion.  As a Catholic you must understand that 50 million babies have been slaughtered since Roe V. Wade.  As Catholics stopping this genocide is the primary issue of our time.

  2. As a recent convert to Catholicism, and a conservative libertarian, I have the found the church to be both liberal and conservative.  They are conservative when it comes to abortion and birth control.  They are liberal when it comes to the poor and capital punishment.  So to answer your question, I do not think it is possible to be very liberal and Catholic.  But, I also believe that you cannot be very conservative and Catholic as well.  In fact, I find Catholics tend to be moderates, with liberal leanings.

  3. It depends on where you liberalism lies and how you apply it I would think.Supporting abortion(a liberal view) is not very liked in the Catholic faith.

  4. That's what we call an oxymoron, dear. Not possible.

  5. Catholic - no

  6. I'd say it is.   There is that element within the Church.  The social justice movement.   As a Catholic I can only hope that the new pope will end that movement.

I think that socialism and Christianity are incompatible.  Free will, and thou shall not steal don't fit well with "redistribution and social justice".

  7. I'd say so as I am one myself

  8. Being Liberal does not hamper practicing your religion.

  9. Practicing Catholic I guess you mean.

Here is an easy way to answer your question:

    All Italians are Catholic.

  10. It means you are not a catholic.  That's not necessarily a bad thing.  Just be a good person.

  11. Sure.  There are many Catholics who devote their lives to working for the poor and disenfranchised, who advocate for positive change against oppressive regimes, and who even push for change in the church - allowing priests to wed, women to be priests, etc.

  12. Can you be a Catholic? Yes. Are you living a Catholic lifestyle ?No.

What school are you in and what class is this? Unless you are in college in a religious studies class, this question should not even be asked. It sounds like a setup for a teacher to bash religion or push a political point of view which is illegal in public school.
