  1. Some dancers are told to use pointe shoes without padding,

but also if you are talking about going on pointe without shoes then it is possible. I can walk around for a few seconds on the tips of my toes, and can walk on the knuckles of my feet. so it's not impossible JESS!!

  2. i really dont know

  3. if you have strong ankles.then you can. pointes people have this thing that they wear inside the toe shes. you put powder in it so you won't slip in the wooden floor. i do ballet so i know it

  4. By En pointe you are meaning on the tips of your toes? Then barefoot that is impossible.. your toes would break. A pointe shoe allows you to be on your toes because of the shank that supports your foot to help hold it up, and the box which gives you a bigger platform than just the tip of your toe.. what you say was probably just a high demi  pointe (being up on the ball of your foot) hope I helped :)

  5. It probably wasn't pointe. It was most likely lyrical or contemporary. You could try barefoot on pointe but I'm not sure how it would work out for you

  6. yea

  7. there is no d**n way you can go onto pointe without shoes

  8. it can hurt a lot i mean i tries it quite a lot before i got pointe shoes and i was ok with it because i have really strong toes and ankles it did still hurt a little though. 2bh i would wait until you get the shoes and strengthen your toes and ankles with them before trying it barefoot x

  9. when i read this question I'm presuming that you mean dancing on pointe without tights. this is possible. quiet a few modern ballets have been choreographed and their costumes have required that they don't wear tights/ being barefoot. you would still wear your toe pads and any other padding in your shoes just wouldn't be wearing the tights. hope this helps. happy dancing! =)

  10. the first person credited to dance en pointe, marie taglioni, was barefoot.  whether or not people still attempt to do that, i'm not sure, it's painful, possible, but painful.

don't go running out and attempt to stand on your toes, there are reasons why they created pointe shoes and only people that have been taking ballet for a good long while are the only ones that go en pointe.
