After injuries to my testicles this is something I am going through, I cant even describe what a nightmare this feels like

I dont see how I will be happy again, and yes I am seeing doctors and not sure they are helping

And I know they have supplements and shots but I find that more of an insult then not being able to get a natural hard on

Is it possible to be happy and not be able to get an erection or have sexual pleasure?

What a ******* nightmare, nightmare

  1. you were happy as a child, an you didn;t have sexual pleasure. life doesn;t end there, Its what you make of it..Dr have many ways of fixing your problem..don;t throw in the towel yet..

  2. What a bummer, man.  Really sorry to heat it.

I assume you still have testosterone flowing thru your body, tho it's not clear whether that's the case.

My husband has adv prostate cancer and has to take meds that remove all of that.  Along with it goes all hormones and not only the ability for erections, but all sexual desire, too.  It's different, that's for sure.

One thing is clear, in learning from him and reading blogs from other gents with similar (though not identica) issues.  Happiness in life is something these folks have found, but it not always easily.

I know your situation is different, but there do appear to be similarities.  Maybe you can check out the site for people who are survivors of prostate cancer and see how they deal.

Even as you work with your docs on your issues, maybe some of their experiences and suggestions could help.

Good luck, man.  Wish you the best.

  3. It will take time.  To be happy, you'll need to concentrate on other things in life that give you a feeling of worth and satisfaction.

Besides work, develop a really interesting hobby that you can be good at.

You should ask to see a therapist who can help you work through this.  Mentally, you are still all man but you need to work out how to deal with this.  Don't try just doing this on your own.  Get expert advice about the psychological aspects of it.  You already know what the physical aspects are.
