Is it possible to be pregnant even on the pill?

i've had stomach and back pains for the past two weeks...i've also had some spotting too..i'm on the pill but i've probably missed a couple..i'm usually never sick and the stomach and back pain has been pretty constant...i took a test but it came out negative..according to my pills i'm suppose to be starting my period this week but i'm not sure if i will or not..could i be pregnant?

You can get pregnant if you miss a pill yes.

I would say to go to your doctor and get a blood test, as they are usually more accurate.

Yes it is possible. If the test said negative then wait till your period is due, if it dont come wait till 3 days after your date of your period and then test again.

The pill is not 100% neither is anything else.

I had been on the pill for a good few years and fell pregnant.

Also how long have you been on the pill? when you first start taking it you can have spotting.

Yes, it's possible to get pregnant, even on the pill -- it's rare, but it has happened.  NOTHING, except sterilization and abstinence, is 100% foolproof (and even sterilization has been known to slip up!)

The tests really aren't conclusive until a day or so after your period is due.  If you start your period, then no worries.  If you don't . . . wait a couple of days, and then re-take the test.

I think that if your on the pill you 98% won't get pregnant but if you have missed some then this goes down considerably and you should always use a condom just in case.

I think you should take another test if your period doesn't happen and you might be alright because some of the pill hormones would still be in your system but in future if you miss a pill you should take 2 the next day and 2 the day after and then go back to one a day to make up for missing one.

It depends. Did you have unprotected s*x? When did you start taking the pills? sometimes when you start the pills you have spotting ( I had this when I started) . If you did have protected s*x and the condom broke, then there is a chance. Also, missing pills doesn't help! You need to take them everyday at about the same time. Missing pills raises your chances of being pregnant. I would wait until your period comes and if it doesnt, take another test. Good luck!
