  1. it doesn't matter because you were a minor when you did it

  2. Yes, it is possible. and you can always have your record expunged.

  3. Of course you can be a physician with that.  You would be shocked and amazed over how many physicians have been charged with stuff like that.  Just be very open and honest if/when you graduate from med school and make an application for a medical license.

  4. Off coure you can.  Just make sure you are honest about it don't try to hide it.  If you were a convicted felon then it would be a different story.  The reason why it is bad to have runs with the law is for scholorships, grants, and student loans.  The governemtn isn't so giving if you have been in some serious trouble.  Not to mention being a convict can tarnish you reputation.  Good luck i think it great you want to be a doctor

  5. Well, I'll tell you what. I'm a training lawyer, and this is what I say..

First of all, it will NEVER be forgotten. They may say it will be dismissed, but that doesn't mean it's forgotten. For whatever the misdemeanor was, it will stay on your record forever. If it's a simple ticket, it won't be such an issue applying and getting accepted into the Med School of your choice - as long as your grades are up and you don't flunk. It was hard for me to make it here, but I got here - without misdemeanors - but still.. As long as the misdemeanor wasn't extreme, I honestly think you will be fine.

  6. Go on with your plans! A misdemeanor offense will not keep you from being a physician. Also, since you are under the age of eighteen(still a minor), your case will be sealed and not available as public record. Good luck, and stay focused! Dona G.

  7. Well unless your planning to get back in trouble in the next 4 months it shouldn't even show up at all.
