Well, if you remember correctly, in "Phantom Menace" there was a test to be taken which the character Anakin passed with flying colors.  If you can't pass that test then, you can't become a Jedi.  Hey, if you're serious....

clearly, you can't travel to Dagobah and study under Yoda, and the jedi council is completely imaginary,

but there are those who believe in powerful forces of nature we can learn to harness (chi/ki is an example of an internal force, witches were believed to have powers to manipulate external forces for their own purposes)

some believe in telekinesis, mind control through suggestion, and various forms of ESP, including mind reading, seeing the future and telepathic communication

there are those who believe any human has the capacity to develop any of these abilities

if you're one of the people who believes these abilities are obtainable, go for it

You're probably not the first to desire to be a jedi, but, as far as I know, no one's succeeded yet

I think we're pretty far from inventing the lightsaber too
