  1. Yes

  2. Yes. There is the famous saying: "Man, Know Thyself."

When you begin to study your own thoughts, emotions, your likes and dislikes, opinions, prejudices, etc., you start to see where this is coming from. It is the personal self that seeks comfort and safety, wants confirmation, security, continuity, etc. To know what your thoughts are and how they come about gives you insight into the motivations behind it.

Regarding consequences, when you initiate a process with the right purposes you will know the results as well. For example, if you think only in terms of what your needs might be and give no thought to others, this does not fulfil the circle of giving and receiving of the Life flow. You can't expect too much to come your way due to that line of thought. On the other hand, if you plan something and include others who can help you and benefit your cause, then it's fairly certain the consequences will be good for all. I'm not saying this is the only way nor the only results, but it is a practical one with understanding of what you'll expect in the end.

There are of course many shades of grey, nothing is ever simply black or white. You need to make adjustments as you go along.

  3. No, it's complicated but you would have to read about psychology, specially Freud, the unconscious mind and the subconscious. The human mind is very complicated.

  4. It's almost impossible to become FULLY  anything.

But it's pretty easy to understand what you are doing and why, the trick is to NOT lie to yourself.

As for seeing the consequences.   Well, that is the trick.   You can't even wave at full understanding.  Your actions are ripples in a pond that spread out through the vastness of time.  The best you can do is an educated guess at the near term consequence.

And even that skill is slow to arrive.   No one below the age of 40 gets to be President,  & it's not like that law has saved us from the clueless.

  5. i'm not sure just what you mean by this. do you mean an action taken by another person, the motivation behind that action and what consequences the action might cause?

  6. No. You can become aware of your actions and what YOU THINK are the motivations are, but the consequences, you can only suspect. They lie in the future and will only be known in the fullness of time.

  7. Not really.

We can only judge by their acts, or deeds. We can know ones character if we can know them well enough but this is not all ways easy for the truth can be with held.

We can trust cause and effect though, the problem with this it usually is to late by then. Also one can be changed by conditions and we cannot always know how this will play out in their life.
