You've often heard of people being hypnotized to quit smoking, overcome phobias, etc. I'm wondering if its possible to be made smarter, or maybe let go of any fear/anxiety that might be holding you back from learning.

Im asking because I have a serious issue with learning math, I am 20 years old and do very well with reading, writing, and most sciences. Just awful with math.

Im at my wits end and will try anything to become better with math.

Has anyone ever done this? Does it work?

  1. It might help you get over an irrational fear of the subject, if you have one.

I was the opposite, good at math, but totally convinced that I had no artistic skill at all.  Until I broke the roadblock of thinking I was no good.  I'm not going to be an artist, but at least I can draw stuff if I need to.  Might be the same with you.  You might not be the next Einstein, but you could do okay with math if you're not convinced you're bad at it.

  2. The jury is still out on hypotinism, as it is so hit and miss

  3. A......no

  4. No, it won't work. You are as educated and smart as you are.

Being good at math takes time and dedication. This is from my math major point of view.

Sorry for the bad news, but there is no easy way around this problem.
