Is it possible to block a specific web user from searching the web for info about you?

  2. Its not possible to block anyone from searching for anything which is in the public domain.

  3. No, unfortunately. All you can do is block their e-mail address. What you could do is build a second account with another username and use that instead of your present one, if you think someone knows your identity.

  4. If you are concerned about a particular malicious party--say a stalker--your best bet is to privacy protect any information at any public website.

    Increase the security settings on your livejournal or myspace, and on websites that don't offer to block your information from anyone except friends you allow, then don't post your photos or personal information.

    Web security is an incredibly important precaution that most of us don't take. So with any web profile or information database, if you don't know how to set it to "friend-only" or "Private" settings, err on the side of caution, and don't write anything important.
