So my parents have been harrassed day in and day out by a warrenty company that first of all don't even have and they call every single day. My parents have talked to these people telling them to take us off their list but it hasen't worked. Is their any way to block the number? Mom is about to report them anyways but I was wondering if we could block the number?

  1. Is this a true 'collection' call from a collection agency, or just a sales call? If it's just a sales call, just tell them to put their number on the National Do Not Call Registry. Note: This service is for people in the U.S. only:

  2. shes probaly gonna have to report them

  3. Known car Warranty scam going around - ask if they have a mailing address and I get hangups. Ask if they are registered with the state and immediate 'click' . Call your states consumer protection people and give name of company if they give it- maybe have a few complaints already. When they call back and identify themselves- ask if they're ashamed to be such bad thieves that the state has a file on them and the call is being logged and forwarded to state. caller Id helps- phone company may be able to block it. Autodialers sometimes work around caller Id and blocks now, but usually calling them thieves and referring them to the state protection agency file number helps.

  4. tell them to get a callerID manager
