Given you have the right artistic and business skills and a good college education? Or is it still unlikely that you'll make it big (100k+ a year) after a few years?

  1. With hard work and the mind set to not give up then yes anything is possible!

  2. With hard work, almost anything is possible.  Just keep your eyes open,

A girl who is 5' 1" tall will never be a starting center in the NBA no matter how hard they are willing to work.

The three keys to success are:

    1) Work harder

    2) Work smarter

    3) Pick your parents

    Good luck!

  3. One other element you must possess: excellent networking and schmoozing skills

In fashion, you need to find the right person who can open doors for you -- help you find the right customer who can raise your profile or help you find some benefactors who can help finance your business or help land your clothes in the fashion magazines.

You can have the right artistic and business skills, but you need to have someone like Gwyneth Paltrow wearing your clothes and being photographed in the red carpet to raise your profile to the big league. Or at least have the love of a fashion editor so your clothes can be on the pages of fashion magazines. And that entails connections, lots and lots of it.
