Is it possible to breed a new colony of mosquitoes that carry malaria by removing the tripanosoma from them.?

For example, if it is possible, we would take a mosquito to the lab, eliminate the tripanosoma and breed him artificially. Is that possible or not. So if possible we would have mosquitoes that carry no malaria.

  1. Why?

    Even were it possible, the mosquito would reaquire the

    tripanosome the first time it encountered and bit a carrier.

    Now if you could breed a tripanosome resistant strain,

    you might have something.
