I used to make 3-5 hundred on the weekends, 1-150 on the weekdays working at a restaurant called Murphys Irish Pub.  To make good coin, you need to be working in a high dollar restaurant and you need to give EXCELLENT service all the time.  Always smile, even when you have the grumpiest, demanded, a**hole customer.

Sure... You need to go find a job at an expensive restaurant so that even if they only tip you 10 percent, it will still be a lot...

Working at Denny's will only net you $1.00 a table... Working at a place where the bill is $100+ would get you a min of $10.00

I used to date a waitress who was typically making $350 on a Saturday night in tips for about $1500 in food sales. It was busy and she knew how to do the "25 percent walk" when she had single guys at a table.

Seeing that I was making about $350/week as a cook it was a little discouraging, but she just knew how to work what she had.
