Question:

Is it possible to build giant fans to "blow" a tornado away from towns or other places with lots of homes?

  1. It would not work, unless they were impractically HUGE!  A tornado, especially the stronger ones, is the final result of a spin up from a much larger circulation that extends up through the middle portions of a supercell thunderstorm.  The circulation is just too deep for anything at the surface to try to disrupt it.


  2. Props for just asking the question!!

    Better building frames is the most logical, affordable, and quickest solution to tornados, and structural strap-nets will get this job done!!
