I recently started liking the Mercedes CLS but after I start working in the accounting field, I wanna purchase a used CLS like a 2006 model. I know people say that accountants are boring and drive boring cars, but I don't think this would be true. What are your views on this?

Accounts are math smart. They can easily see how much of waste expensive cars are - for basically the same thing.  That's why they drive "boring" cars.  In my opinion, they are the smart ones.

Well you can always prove everybody wrong and buy a Benz.  But that would mean that may be you are not math smart??  Just kidding.

    Good luck...

  2. My dads an accountant and we've got a Porsche and a Mercedes CLS - if you are a good accountant you can afford some nice cars.

  3. A CLS is a great car and not boring at all, but you may want to consider a C63 AMG.  Here is a youtube video of it.

They look great, they're fast, and still practical.

  4. If you are an accountant, you can figure out a budget so you can purchase one.  What kind of question is this?

  5. I'm a semi retired janitor.I drive one,not new but its a Benz.

  6. For some people a car is simply a means of transportation, to get from A to B, carry the shopping etc. For others its a statement, a way of expressing yourself, ' Hey I may be xyz with a 9 to 5 job, but inside I'm the Benz guy!'

So, why settle for a utility box with wheels, find something you like. As for cost, yeah, the 2006 CLS may be out off your price range, between $32k to $48k, BUT there are a load of other cars that are very affordable. Go back a few years and consider some of the other Mercedes models, it's amazing how many high spec/high end cars are available with low mileage. They tend to be far better serviced that the average vehicle. EG 2002 M-B CLK AMG 55 for around $20k, or a 2003 CLK M-B CL 600 for around $29k.

If you dare you could always go right back, buy a classic, there are some amazing vehicles available and given how well looked after they are it is possible to use one as a daily driver.
