  1. When looking, you will find two options: Replacement grips and Overgrips.

If your current grip is worn out, you will want to get a replacement grip.  You will actually have to remove the old grip (strip it down to the bare handle).  Since this grip goes on the bare, smooth handle, it will have adhesive on the back to prevent it from slipping.  Unfortunately, this makes it a little more difficult to put on.  You can try it yourself (not really that hard, but takes some time at first), or you could just take it into a racquet technician and they can take care of it for you.  If you take it to a local pro-shop, they might even do it right on the spot for you.

Overgrips are cheaper, and have a different use.  Some people's hands are between grip sizes, but they want to make the handle the right size.  They will buy a racquet that's slightly small, and put an overgrip on.  This will add a half-size to the handle, making it fit better.  They typically don't last as long as replacement grips, but they are cheaper and easier to replace.

  2. They are called grip, tape.. etc.

It is a tape like foam that is added to you racket for better "grip".

Go to any sports store to buy it. Also, look on-line or ask for help when applying it. There is a certain way to do so.

I liked the Wilson white tape. It is what I used.
