Is it possible to buy fertilized bird eggs?

Question

I have heard somethings about buying fertile eggs and so i was woundering if that was true. My birds try to lay eggs and they do..its just that my girl bird had an issue so we put her on medication and now her eggs arent alive...i know the boy is fetile because i picked him up not knowing that they just..you know..did it and so i got some junk on my hand EW. and so would my birds take care of the egg like it is their own?

What you are talking about is foster parents. This is a standard practice in the breeders world. Some parents can lay eggs fine, but don't set. While other Parents can not lay fertile eggs but set great...

The only trick is both birds have to be laying eggs at the same time. You would have to wait until she laid her own eggs and then replace them with the fertile eggs.
