Is it possible to buy or breed dragonflys?

These Mosquitoes are really starting to p**s me off, i want them all dead. I live in the UK.

  1. I'm with you on mosquitos being a major annoyance.  I tried that citronella candle recently and it doesn't work (at least for me).  I think breeding dragonflies would be a problem because you would need a pool and that would just increase the mosquito problem.  I've been getting rid of every source of standing water (as mentioned in this link) and then spraying specifically around the areas where they seem to congregate.  (I spray in the late afternoon and I spray towards the ground and not up in the air)  Certain areas of my yard seem to be more mosquito infested.   That seems to really reduce the population if I do it on a regular basis.

  2. Yeah, it probably is. But they don't live all year long, depending on temperature, they go south for the winter ;).

    I would consider getting a bug zapper. They work!
