Is it possible to buy tickets direct from Airlines rather than agencies, and any cheaper?

Theoretically you should be able to turn up at the desk at the airport at the last minute and then haggle over whatever seats are still available.

with all American airlines like aa south west ext you have book at a min of 48 hours in advance but that is also the same with all airlines going to the usa but if you go up at last Minute you may miss the flight and they will be very worried fore safety so i recommend unless you want to have a Holiday planes around you (which you can't have if you book last minute) you use the airlines website
