Is it possible to cancel my AT&T phone service?

...And still keep the internet service from AT&T?

My friend does that, but I'm just making sure. Don't remember if she had AT&T or not.

Yes you can! i did this just starting on april 1st, they give you 2 options , 19.99 12 month commitment or 29,99 a month no commitment and i think a little faster to,i think its great, i canceled march24th and they said your phone will be active until the 31st and the dsl will shut off for 24 hours , i think it was less. then you call if it doesnt work and theyl painlessly tell you how to fix it. this is alot cheaper on the bill. id much rather have a cheap prepaid cell phone then dish out 40 a month on phone service

I don't think so. I know I was gonna try and cancel mine. I am on bellsouth...but they talked me into NOT canceling my land line. You should really think about it. Because like they told me, even if you are using a cell phone full time. It is not as fast as land line, in case of an emergency. If you had to dial 911 for any reason, it would be LONGER to get help. This may not be as important to you as it was for me. I had 3 kids to think about. I did however cut it WAY back to the basic, it was only 14 bucks a month. I have nothing on it, but local. and I don't answer the phone, told all friends and family to use the cell. but I was able to keep the phone and my hubby wanted the interent for his game, so he was able to win as well.

no you could choose a differenty internet provider but you have to have their phone service to have their internet
