  1. The simple answer is no, but this really is a good question. When we look up into the sky or out the window on an airplane, clouds look thick and fluffy as if they consist of a substantial amount of solid matter , when in fact they truly consist of a liquid called vapor.. this is a mixture of gases and water molecules which are found in our atmosphere in different amounts in different places based on wind speeds and humidity and many other factors is where the type and amount of clouds come into play. Basically the water and gases form ice crystals which depending on the total amount or density determines the type of cloud you see. ,Try googling "cloud formations" for more information on clouds especially the thick puffy looking ones you are speaking of which are called a Cumulus Cloud. So the complicated answer means that there is no solid matter to place in the jar , even if you were to fly through the cloud with an open jar and scoop the jar through the cloud and then put the lid on you would still be left with a jar of air. You might have some water droplets in the jar at the most but nothing other than that will be visible due to the actual compound makeup of the clouds.

Good luck and hope this helps.

  2. dreams

  3. Clouds are just fog.  Fog forms when the temperature is at the dew point.

  4. I dont think you can. If you can, someone would of already done that by now and probably see them sold in stores or something. I dont think its possible cause it will spread in the jar to where it won't be visible.

  5. I think if you get a really tall ladder then you can. ARE U SERIOUS, NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

  6. All clouds, except for high-level ones, are made of condensed water vapor. If a person flew to a cloud's altitude, he or she could hold a jar out the door or window (which is a bad idea) and fill the jar up. All the person would be doing is taking in water vapor, which they could get elsewhere. If sealed shut, the water vapor would stay in the jar, but the gas may not necessarily be visible.

  7. No it isn't possible. Those white fluffy clouds are just condensed water particles and ice. They only appear white and fluffy in the sky and they can't stay that way in a container
