  1. There are various websites out there who will charge you a fee to send you an unlock code for your DVD player.  I heard Amazon do them.  You'll have to put in the exact make and model of your player and they'll tell you if it can be "unlocked".

    Try this link:

  2. no pal is pal you can use dvd shrink to copy the dvd you want to play in the burning options there is an option to make the copy region free

  3. you can hack the dvd player if it is  possible, PAL is the format that is common in the European side, NTSC is the format for the American side.

    try this site

  4. Basically pal and NTSC do not play any part in the DVD region coding process. Pal and NTSC simply mean the difference in the various tv formats. PAL is the UK tv system which runs at 50Hz (update 50 times per second) and NTSC is used across Europe, America and most other parts of the world runs at 60Hz.

Region coding is something different. This is basically a system that only allows DVDs to be played in certain regions. The UK is region 2 along with Europe and other countries like the Arab Emirates. Region 1 is the USA. There are 8 different regions, 9 if you include 0 which is basically 'region free'.

Most DVD players have some sort of 'Hack' which will allow you to change the region code of the player. This normally comes in the form of a code that is entered on the remote, which sometimes reveals a 'secret menu'.

One of the most common 'hacks' for Sony DVD players is this one however you will need an 'AllInOne' Remote.

    1.  In order for this hack to work, you will have to send an infra-red code to your player with a OneForAll remote such as the OneForAll 6 (or URC7560) or OneForAll 4 (or URC7740) or OneForAll 4 Digital, or One For All 5 Digital (or URC 7555) with the following instructions:
