Is it possible to change a limited account into Administrator in Xp?

I have logged as a limited account. But i try to change as admin using net user command but i failed. All time it is showing Access is Denied

If there is another account in your computer that is an administrator, log in to his/her account and go to control panel. Go to user accounts and change your profile.

The answer above will only work if you are logged in as an administrator in the first place. Not useful in your case.

Instead, download the LiveCD version of Ophcrack, create a bootable CD, and run it. It will give you all the usernames and passwords on your system, including the main Admin account. Log in with that, and then change your account to whatever you want.

to change your account type in xp do these steps:

1. control panel

2. user accouts

3. select user

4. click change account type
