Is it possible to change or upgrade Intel processor?

I have a HP pavilion 502n with a 1.3GHz intel celeron processor. Is it possible to upgrade or change it?

I used Belarc to find out what board I have

Board: Trigem Computer, Inc. Lomita

Bus Clock: 100 megahertz

BIOS: Phoenix 3.08 05/14/2002

  1. Normally when you want to change/upgrade your processor, you have to have a customized computer, since stock brand pcs are made specifically by a manufacturer, which also voids the warranty and in the case of you s***w it up, making the bios malfunctioning. Stock brands, which you buy from stores, their bios are programmed a specific way in that they only work with the parts it came with, meaning you cant customize it, such as replacing a motherboard, to getting a new graphics card. Only way you can change your processor is really to use your warranty if its still activated, and have the HP folks replace the processor, otherwise, gotta buy a customized pc with a better processor.
