  1. Yes it is possible to clone corn. However, you still have to grow it and harvest it.

  2. there is already one : Korn

  3. Corn has been cloned for years. Hybrid corn is basically cloned since every plant is genetically the same. They have even cloned corn that is high in sugar, high in oil, and high in protein, but none of it is going to solve the energy problem.

  4. yes it is possible.. and very easy.

They sell Rooting Hormone... you cut off a piece of the corn plant (a leaf with full stem) and dip the stem in the rooting hormone.  you plant that in a sphagum peat moss type medium till it sprouts roots.. then  you transplant it into the ground.

What you have is an exact clone of  the mother plant....

  5. You can clone anything living but that will not, as one pointed out allieviate the need to then grow it. Technology is putting us, with respect to the need for fuel or energy, closer to a solution but the best option even with a good solution is to REDUCE need. Biodiesel and ethanol from corn is not the best solution if for no other reason than it takes resources used for producing needed food to over relied upon fuel. Just one more way to further separate those that have from those that don't. Further, it just added more pollution and waste heat into a world starting to smother from it. We need to step back from relying on unnecessary manufactured goods. Even green cars are not environmentally a solution when their manufacture just supports the idea of "throw away capitalism mentality". We need fuel because we buy buy buy and manufacture because we throw everything away when the novelty wears off with the shiny paint. We can make a car that will last your whole life but we don't. We can now make a fuel that will keep the environment clean but we don't because that means someone won't get rich and be able to sit on their fat *** stuffing their faces with lard on a gold spoon. Thats the big joke really. We are so manipulated to think "Gee we need a green source of fuel for our cars" but no one says anything about how the big auto makers bought up the trains and quietly took the rail system apart at the turn of the century to promote cars so we can get around. Buy a car, throw it away for a new one, over and over. Buy gas and oil and line my pockets so I can sit on my fat *** and eat steaks. There is a level of conditioning that keeps us working on the puzzle of how to make fuel and we can't see the big picture. It isn't you, my friend, it's the system pinching you while telling you lies. You question the lies but you never see where the pinch is coming from.

  6. Yes it is very possible in this modern age. Biotechnology has and is rapidly advancing and as a result is playing major roles in many different areas.

  7. Cloning via tissue culture has been a regular practice utilized by agricultural scientists and plant breeders since the 1970's.
