Hey so how long would it take to commute to these universities, I've tried Map quest, but it's not that accurate, would you recommend it and is it possible to commute to them:

University of Guelph

Wilfred Laurier University

University of Waterloo

Brock University

Trent University (in Oshawa)

  1. They are over an hour away, each way...

It can be done...I drive 1 1/2 from north of Orangeville to Richmond Hill, and an hour ten to Oakville, for work!

    I wouldn't recomend it for a student!

I pay $120 in gas every four days!

Renting a room close to campus leaves all that time for studying...or whatever!

Do you have other friends that would rent a place with you?

    Good luck

  2. Guelph, Laurier & Waterloo you're looking at an hour (minimum), possibly more in rush hour each way.

Ditto for Brock (Friends don't let friends go to Brock)

Trent in Oshawa could be 2+ hours depending on the 401.  I wouldn't recommend it.

  3. From Mississauga to Guelph... about 45 minutes.

................................ to Waterloo... about 1 hour 5 minutes.

................................ to Laurier... about 1 hour 5 minutes.

Can't help you regarding the other 2, but it's a pain to drive every day.  Better off to get student housing near the university of your choice.
