  1. There are printer switches, but since most printers are now usb connected this is not a good idea, as it causes serious problems when switching, continuously unloading and re-loading the drivers.


  2. Yes its easiest if its all wireless. You just install the printer on both computers.

  3. Yup but one would have to be the print server and would have to be on to work or buy a print server and connect it to the network.  

  4. Google wireless printer kits. You get a wireless card for each computer and a receiver for the printer.

  5. You mean you want to physically hook one printer up to two computers?

    No.  If you think about it you can see that the printer needs a way to sort out the multiple print streams, and that means some kind of program.

    You would need either a network printer that can be connected to a router directly, or connecting two computers on a local network and have one act as the print server.  Definitely a network item.

    try using KVM switches with USB sockets since new printer are USB or you could go wireless is much better.
