Sure you need to get another VHS player but it's specifically designed to capture your VHS tapes onto your computer via USB so that they can be played on a variety of modern devices.

You would need a TV Tuner video card installed which should have the software you need or may use another software prog to capture/convert.

Yes.  I wanted to do that with mine, convert my old VHS's, but the man in the shop said that I need a video capture card and a very fast PC.  My PC is coal powered and was made from Babbages first adding machine plans.

Yes, you connect through the RCA phono plugs (yellow, red and black) or if you don't have them then with the appropriate adapter.
