I have computer speaks that have a 3.5mm plug. I would like to connect them to my home sterio. Is there an adapter that would have a socket for the plug and connect it to a banana plug? (Which is what the normal stereo speaks connect to, right?)

  1. You want to blow them up or what.

  2. This is NOT advisable.  You mentioned the banana plugs.  You SHOULD NOT connect computer speakers to these speaker outputs.

Unless you have really cheap stereo speakers and a cheap receiver, why whould you think that computer speakers would sound better than stereo speakers?

    Good luck with that.

  3. yes, but the power out of computer speakers are very substandard.

  4. Do you have a headphone outlet for your stereo?  If so, plug it in but you have to be careful about the volume of your stereo compared to the volume control of the speakers.   Two volume controls make for a crappy sound if they are not balanced right.

Turn the computer speakers all the way up and use the stereo's volume control k**b.
