Is it possible to connect surround sound audio to a playstation 3 system?

I have a PS3 and want to connect my surround sound system to it. I do not know how to go about doing this, can anyone help me with some advice??

Deja vu... Best done with an optical cable (sold separately).

You configure your PS3 to output to your receiver appropriately through the optical output.

Not hard at all actually, and it sounds great!

If you are using stabdard A/V Cables then it should be very simple to hook your Playstation 3 Up to a Surround Sound System. Just Match up the Red and White Plugs on the PS3 Output to the Red and White Input on the Surround Sound. Then select the proper input on your surround sound system.
