Is it possible to connect two Car Batteries?

Can I connect two car batteries, or will I get a 24v. One battery is kinda weak and the new doesn't fit the space where the other one is. I will like to connect a 800 watt power inverter as well. Anyone ever done something like that?

yes you're correct you'll get 24v.

yes, you can connect two batteries. If you connect them in parallel (neg to neg, pos to pos) you get 12V with more current. If you connect in series, you get 24V with the maximum current of the weakest battery.

You can connect two batteries.  As other have said, if you connect them in parallel you still have 12 volts.  If you connect them in series you hve 24 volts.  I assume you'll want the 12 volt parallel connection.  But if the weak battery has a bad cell it will drain the second battery down to the weak batteries voltage so you won't get much benefit from doing this.  Get the money someplace and put in a good battery that's the correct size.

i'm not sure about that i'd ask a mechanic, but connecting to batteries is possible like with booster cables.

I used to have a pair and whenever someone left the light on in the car all night or something and drained the battery in the car i could hook it up to mine and give them some juice.

It sounds like the weak battery has a bad cell in it. It simply needs to be replaced. You should take the new one back and get the right size. Yes, two batteries can be connected together. Connect the + to - and the other two to want you need. It would double the voltage. Be sure you use the right gauge of wire like in jumper cables or the wires will get hot and cause a fire, maybe cause batteries to explode. You don't want the acid from batteries to get on you. If your not sure of what your doing, don't try it. As for the inverter, make sure the alternator is powerful enough to handle it.
